Privacy Policy
Effective June 20, 2026
This policy explains what data Relmy processes, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.
Data We Process
- Account data: your Apple account identifier and, when available, the name and email provided through Sign in with Apple.
- Content and settings: journal entries, notes, mood, ratings, topics, preferred sources, reminder settings, language, and time zone.
- Location: a place name and coordinates only when you add them to an entry or explicitly request your current location.
- Family features: linked members, your chosen relationship label, and entries you choose to share or recommend.
- Operational data: push token, news read and favorite status, content feedback, coin balance, and purchase transaction identifiers.
How We Use Data
We use data to authenticate you, synchronize the service, maintain your journal, create daily digests and weekly recaps, enable family sharing, deliver notifications, process purchases, prevent abuse, and secure the service.
We do not use your data for advertising, sell personal data, or track you across other companies' apps or websites.
AI and Third-Party Services
Text needed for an AI feature may be sent to an AI provider. This may include entry text for structuring a journal entry, your topics for a digest, or relevant entries, news, and shared activity from linked family members for a recap.
We use Apple services for sign-in, purchases, notifications, and system location features; Convex for backend and database services; and OpenAI for AI features. Searches for film, game, or place information may send titles or place queries to services such as OMDb, RAWG, or Geoapify. News, map, and other external links open third-party services governed by their own policies.
Family Sharing
A journal entry is private unless you share it or enable default sharing for new entries in Settings. A shared entry is visible only to accounts you linked through a family invitation. You can stop sharing individual entries and remove family links.
Retention and Security
We retain data while your account exists or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely risk-free.
After account deletion, we may retain only an irreversible hash of the Apple identifier, the remaining coin balance, and identifiers of redeemed transactions. These records are used solely to restore the balance and prevent duplicate redemption; they cannot restore a profile or personal content.
Your Choices and Rights
You can edit or delete journal entries, change sharing, unlink family members, disable notifications, and revoke location access in system settings.
You can delete your account and related data directly in the app's Settings. You may request access to or correction of your data through havlin.dev+relmy@gmail.com. We may retain limited data when required by law or necessary for fraud prevention.
Children
Relmy is not directed to children who cannot independently provide valid consent to data processing under the laws of their country. We do not knowingly collect children's data without required parental or guardian consent.
Changes and Contact
We may update this policy as features or legal requirements change. The current version will be available in the app and on this public policy page.
